I'm in the mood for love...

Since it's getting closer to Valentine's Day, I thought this was appropriate! Not to mention.. how cute was Frank Sinatra in his younger days?! That voice will brighten any one's day!

It looks like I'm in the mood for challenges too.. but I don't know a song for that!

I used Clean & Simple's Sketch #124 for this card. The chipboard bee and letters are Bo Bunny's "Crazy Love" Collection. How cute is that chubby little bee?

I used sketch #99 on Card Patterns for this one. This is also for the January Card Challenge on Scrapbook.com for color, to use blue, grey and white.

I pieced together the senitment from 2 different stamps that didn't have any of these words in them! =]

This cute little bird house is from Heidi Grace's "Take Flight" Rub Ons, as are the birds. I created a little thought bubble and added crackle accents around the edges.

I made this card for the January Card Challenge on Scrapbook.com for Sketch. I create a sketch every month and will soon be adding them to my blog so you can use them for inspiration as well.

The chipboard flower and flourish are from Bo Bunny's "Crazy Love" collection.

Last week, I did it again... bought more from PeachyCheap.com. They have SUCH great deals, I can't help it! I purchased My Mind's Eye Journaling Cards.. there are some super cute ones in there and I can't wait to use more. This is one of them..

I made this card for 2 challenges. I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch #101. Karen always has the best sketches. You know when there's sketches that are nice.. but that's kind of it? Hers are the opposite, you get inspiration instantly!

It's also for The Pink Elephant #92 for a color challenge of brown, pink and red.

Leon Baby

IT'S FINALLY DONE!

The exciting news that I have! Drum roll please.....
I'm going to be an Auntie again in July!!

I made this layout for 2 challenges.

Journaling: Dad, Mom, Grandma & I went over to Branden & Tif's for Christmas Eve dinner. We were given 2 envelopes each which contained clues to a puzzle we had to figure out. After finding all the letters, Mom & Dad thought "Noel Baby"... oh so close! Then they said "Leon Baby" and Mom gasped and said "Oh my God, she's pregnant!" 2010

All the clues were given from Klayre's perspective. This was one of the clues... the answer to this clue is Butternut Squash Soup. I'm telling you, the kid is not normal! lol, 3 years old and she asks for it for lunch everyday!!

Since it's their 2nd child, I thought a 2 would be appropriate! Don't you just love that flower?

What about this one? I was going to go to Big Lots to check out Scrap stuff, and thought I probably shouldn't cause they never have anything different.. I went anyway and I'm glad I did. They had a BUNCH of Basic Grey stuff. Stamps, Buttons, Brads, Rub Ons, Stickers, paper. These flowers are from the June Bug Collection.

Comfort Food

Who doesn't like comfort food? No one I know, that's for sure! A couple months ago I bought Stampin' Up!'s "Comfort Food" stamps from a Demonstrator that was selling some of her retired stmaps. They have the cutest sayings.. here's 2 of them!

I used Sketch #100 on Sweet Sunday Sketch, but didn't have time to upload. Didn't have time... forgot.. same thing, right? =]

I'ts also for the January Card Challenge for color, to use blue, grey and white.

I don't own any copics, so I used colored pencils instead.

Joey's a sickling this week so I made him this card. It's only 3x3! I stamped the Milk carton twice, cut it out and lifted it with pop dots. Then I put glossy accents over it.

Life is like a Rainbow

I got a bunch of Baker's Twine last month. In every single color! Well, that's not true, I don't have purple, so almost every single color!

I wish I would have thought about printing the quote on the computer FIRST, but I thought of it after I glued down the twine, so I just hand wrote it. Looks more handmade that way, right? =]

I used some magic mesh on the cloud. It was my first time using it, pretty neat stuff. It even comes sticky, and I'm glad cause I was wondering how I was going to adhere it, lol.

You & Me

The truth comes out about where my mind has been... on this boy right here!!

I used Helpmeronda's "Girl Meets Boy" layout for inspiration. My layouts are usually as straight as can be, nothing out of place if I can help me, but I loved making a layout like this. In the beginning I was totally over thinking it, which I have a real problem with!! But after convincing myself "just do it already!!", it fell into place perfectly!

I haven't added journaling yet, there's so much to say! But, I will add it, for sure.

It seems like we spend more in parking than anything else, lol.

I used the map that I printed before I left. I distressed it and added pink pearls where the resturant and movies are located.

Our movie stubs.. we saw I Love You Phillip Morris.

I got the title from the song "You & Me" from Lifehouse. Great song!!

January 8th is really the only day I dread. 12 years ago (did I really just say 12?) on that day, the whole thing started with my leg problem. So, needless to say, I don't like the day! But, I do now. Joey changed my whole perspective on the 8th.

Reflection

Nooo, I didn't disappear off the face of the earth! I know that's what you were wondering! My minds been pre-occupied if you will! =] Those layouts will be coming soon!!

I wanted my first post of the new year to announce exciting news in our family, but life has got in the way and I have yet to even start that layout!!

So, I thought I'd share the card I made for Klayre for Christmas. There wasn't any bends in the card before it got in a 3 year old hands though!!

I got inspiration for the "gift" from Melinda Spinks' "M&M Chocolate Card".

This was the inside of the card.. Klayre doesn't just use 2 M's, she uses 3.

I've been wanting to scrap this photo for a while. I love how you can see her reflection in the window! But, I never could find paper that would do the photo justice. That was until I got Crate's Restoration Collection. I thought it was incredibly cute when I saw it online, but it's even better in person. I've never liked a whole collection in it's entirety, but this one is just wonderful!
